A healthy, confident smile requires regular dental appointments and maintaining good overall health and wellbeing. Chandler Family Dentistry will work with you to create a unique care plan that addresses your oral health and specific concerns.
When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by the patient coordinator, who will check you in and notify the team of your arrival. She will verify payment and/or insurance information and guide you through any necessary paperwork. Save time by completing the Medical Health History form, Authorization to Release Dental/Health Care Information form, and the New Patient Registration Packet forms ONLINE before you arrive. Or, if you prefer, download the forms, complete them, and bring them with you when you come for your first visit.
After you’ve checked in, you’ll be escorted to a private treatment room for a blood pressure check and any additional background information that may be required. Next, you’ll meet with Dr. Chandler for a comprehensive exam. The in-depth exam begins with discussing your dental and medical history and any concerns you might have.
The initial oral examination takes about two hours and includes:
- A head and neck evaluation.
- A soft tissue exam.
- A periodontal exam assesses the health of your teeth and gums.
- An evaluation of your occlusion or how your jaw and teeth come together.
- A clinical examination of your teeth, including cancer and sleep apnea screening.
- Photographs of your teeth for use in charting your plan.
Dr. Chandler will recommend a personalized treatment plan and discuss any options with you based on your exam outcomes. You will not receive a cleaning on your first visit. Future exams and cleaning/hygiene appointments will be scheduled during the same visit.
After your visit with Dr. Chandler concludes, the patient coordinator will schedule follow-up appointments and provide cost estimates for future dental treatment and procedures. Payment is expected when services are rendered—Chandler Family Dentistry does not send monthly statements. However, as a courtesy to our patients, we will file your insurance claims so you may receive all the benefits you are entitled to under your plan. CareCredit is a recommended vendor for financing treatment if needed.
